TESTIMONIALS FROM COMPUTER-USING PATIENTS:

COMPUTER LENSES vs. PROGRESSIVE LENSES

A new computer lens survey conducted by PRIO found that computer-using patients overwhelmingly prefer Near Variable Focus (NVF) lenses to progressive (PAL) lenses for computer use. Each patient in the survey worked an average of 5.5 hours per day at the computer. The comments below were volunteered to PRIO after wearing NVF lenses for 5 days at the computer and then wearing their PAL for two more days.

  • “I love them (NVF lenses). They make the computer brighter and clear. I wish I had these years ago; my eyes would be in better shape.”

  • “These glasses (NVF) are the best thing that ever happened to glasses! (even better than Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream!) I cannot tell you how much better I feel (no headaches, sore neck, shoulder etc.) since starting to wear the NVF glasses. The screen is crisp and clear. No head bobbing up and down. Now, when I first sit down at the computer with my progressive lenses on, the print seems fuzzy and unclear. With the NVF lenses, everything is clear and I actually get more work done because I am not as tired or sore. I just love them. These are terrific!!!! Thank You!!!”

  • “NVF lenses have helped me tremendously and have basically eliminated eyestrain and headaches by meeting my computer vision needs. Thank You PRIO.”

  • “Thanks for the chance to try these lenses. They are fantastic. I am recommending them to all my friends. I could not believe the difference. I just got my new prescription progressive glasses about 2 weeks before I got the NVF lenses and thought they were good, but the NVF lenses blew them away for computer use and desk top paperwork. Thanks again.”

  • “Print is clearer and bolder when using these lenses. I am very satisfied. Many thanks to you for this pair of lenses.”

  • “Super Comfortable."

  • “I really like the PRIO Lenses. The clarity and comfort really help with lessening the eyestrain I was experiencing. I had been having some neck aches as well, and these seem to have decreased. Thank you!!!”

  • “The sharpness and clarity of the computer screen with the NVF lenses are remarkable. The difference between the lenses is literally ‘night and day’.”

  • “I can see about 95% better at the computer. I only wear my progressives now when I go to lunch and after work.”

MORE TESTIMONIALS FROM PRIO CUSTOMERS

"For years I have had terrible neck problems due to compressed disks in my neck, and computer use has made the problem worse. When I would come home from work I would be in so much pain that I couldn't even move my head and had a terrible stinging sensation in my left arm. I had the PRIO exam, got PRIO glasses and have been pain free for over a year now. These glasses make using my computer easy and comfortable. I don't have to tilt my head upward to see the computer any longer. I would recommend these glasses for anyone who works on a computer for part of their day."

—SST Tech – Intel Corporation

"Even though I have never needed glasses, I found that my eyes were suffering after just an hour or two at my computer. By the end of the day, they were burning and tired. Since I began wearing PRIO glasses the problem has been solved. I feel almost instant relief. I feel so strongly about the fact that these glasses are saving my eyes that I can't imagine doing without them."

—Administrative Assistant

"I have been wearing PRIO glasses for 4 years now and could not be happier - I recommend PRIO lenses to anyone who asks about computer eye strain. Before my PRIO glasses I was having dryness, light sensitivity, headaches, difficulty focusing, and blurring. After 2 weeks of wearing my PRIO glasses, all these problems melted away. I haven't taken them off since."

—Computer Graphics Specialist

"In 1994 I started wearing prescription computer eyeglasses. I went for a special eye exam, took off my old spectacles, and stuck on a pair of special PRIO glasses. Folks, the difference is like night and day. I can't compute without them. Images are sharper than they've ever been, my eyes don't get tired, and, well, it just feels easier to focus on the screen."

—Contributing Editor, PC Magazine

"I have been wearing PRIO glasses since about 1996 and I don't know what I would do without them. As a self-employed software and web designer, I look at a monitor for many hours a day. I frequently have to work at the level of a pixel, checking alignment, accuracy, etc. Although I wear tri-focals when I am away from the computer, the midrange is just not tuned as finely as my PRIO glasses are. The result is that my PRIO glasses have virtually eliminated my eye strain."

—Software and web site designer

"I have been wearing PRIO glasses for about six weeks, and noticed a difference the first time I tried them on. They have enabled me to type and proofread documents with more accuracy and speed, as my eyes are able to focus the first time, without having to squint or blink..."

—Word Processor

"...50-90% of my workday (is) dedicated to a computer terminal...I suffered constant headaches, irritability, tiredness, frustration...The PRIO prescription works... wonderfully! The difference was dramatic, and almost immediate. The headaches were gone, I had more energy at the end of the day, my concentration improved... I feel better. My wife has told me there is a marked difference in my overall attitude and happiness."

—Draftsman

"The relief was evident as soon as I began wearing the PRIO glasses. The symptoms of eyestrain have been eliminated. Prior to PRIO I would find myself unable to enjoy recreational reading, needle work, sewing and other relaxing pursuits; my eyes were too tired and stressed. Now, once again, my evenings are spent enjoying those interests and hobbies which I value."
